Astro-turf Bear!



I found this creature impaled on a neighbor's fence down the alley from our house. I risked being shot at to get these pics -- and that's not including the risk of frost bite and/or hypothermia when venturing outside in Seattle. It's like minus 17 or something. Anyhooo, real cold.

So I'm looking at these pics of Astro-turf Bear and I'm thinking there's something here. It's like that face on Mars that the little NASA SUVs are currently destroying with their beefy little tire tracks.

I'm hoping someone can give me some analysis of this neighborhood phenom.



Who or what is Astro-Turf Bear?

Who impaled him?

Are there religious connotations here?

I think so.

Does Astro-turf Bear have some sort of greater social message?
